I feel bad about a lot of the movies I see that teach kids that if they do bad, they’ll win.

Movies are very hard to make, to get it all to come together. So many people have their say in what the end product of films are.

I probably hold the distinction of being one movie star who, by all laws of logic, should never have made it. At each stage of my career, I lacked the experience.

Movies can’t ruin books. They can only ruin movies.

Kids in general make things fresh and alive and they have this great appreciation for, Holy mackerel, we’re making a movie!

Thank goodness I started getting movie roles and then television shows came along. So I was very fortunate to be able to do all three and I like all of them.

Movies are movies, and I don’t think any of them are going to hurt the moral fiber of America and all that nonsense.

When I look up at the screen and see myself I always have to laugh. Not because I think I’m doing a horrible job, quite the contrary, I just feel it’s so surreal to feel like one person can entertain so many at one time.

This is the age of insincerity. The movies had the misfortune to come along in the twentieth century, and because they appeal to the masses there can be no sincerity in them.

The one we keep pitching and there are no takers is The Fabulous Baker Boys Go To Hawaii. There don’t seem to be any takers on that one!
