I never smile when I have a bat in my hands. That’s when you’ve got to be serious. When I get out on the field, nothing’s a joke to me. I don’t feel like I should walk around with a smile on my face.

I don’t have to show that I am working very hard.

I am very clear that when I work with a director what he or she says is the last word.

All I do, really, is go to work and try to be professional, be on time and be prepared.

I think the NBA players have to be held accountable in a reasonable way, just like any other professionals.

The things that got me through grade school are helping me out later in life. It’s like, I show up on time. If you buy a ticket to one of my shows, I’ll show up. I’ll be there. And if it says 10:00, I’ll be on stage at 10:00.

My children have become popular, and they show a tremendous love for the public. They’re professionals.
